Oriental Mint by Phaedon

Today I’m sampling Oriental Mint by Phaedon. With dominant notes of peppermint, tobacco and tolu resin. This one opens with a beautiful mint note at the top, I’m a huge fan of the mint notes in fragrances. This is a peppermint note with depth, unlike the super fresh mint in Menthe Fraiche by Heeley. The mid notes in this one are rose, geranium and pepper. The base notes are tolu resin, black tobacco and white musk. Within 30 mins the mint note settles down, although it still remains prominent on the blend. In the dry down I mainly get the tobacco and resin, with the mint lingering on throughout. This is the second Phaedon fragrance I’ve sampled and I’m very impressed so far, especially considering the reasonable cost for a niche fragrance. Once again this was part of my sample haul from Bloom Perfumery who I suggest you all check out. So I’m smelling great today, what are you all wearing?
