Today I’m sampling PG7.1 Cologne Grand Siècle Intense by Parfumerie Generale. With dominant notes of bigarade orange, bergamot and lemon leaves. I’m still exploring this house, and am yet to sample the original PG07 Cologne Grand Siècle. Looking at reviews PG07 is a very soft and light cologne style fragrance in EDT concentration, and as the name suggests PG7.1 is the intense version in EDP concentration. In the opening I get a lovely fresh blast of the bigarade orange and lemon leaves. In fact the lemon note is possibly the best I’ve encountered in a fragrance. However there’s depth to this fragrance whilst still remaining fresh. With cypress, mint, hay and tobacco in the mid. Then honey, oakmoss, patchouli and vetiver in the base. The blend is fantastic, with each sniff I’m picking up on the different notes. To my nose though, the honey, cypress and oakmoss are most prominent in the dry down. This is a house I definitely plan on exploring more, and thanks again to Bloom Perfumery for offering a great service in allowing me to do so. There’s more samples to come from my latest haul in the coming days. So what are you all wearing today?
Nice review, Nick. How do you find the longevity? I sampled this fragrance some time ago and I loved how fresh and natural it smelled. The longevity on me, however, was 2 hours max.
