Today I’m sampling Yuzu Man by Caron. With dominant notes of yuzu, lemon verbena, Virginia cedar and black fig. This one opens with the yuzu and lemon verbena, with the cedar coming through in the base. After around 30 mins I get the fig note come through and the yuzu settles down a little, which then remains for the life of the fragrance for me. I got good projection for around 2 hours before it settled into a skin scent. It did however last on my skin for 6+ hours. After discovering the gem that is L’anarchiste and now Yuzu Man I’m very keen to sample more from the house. A friend of mine was telling me that this was the first ever fragrance marketed towards men, and there is a bottle in the International Perfume Museum. However I can’t find any information about this online, and the release date for the fragrance says 2011. If anyone has more information about this, please let me know.
