Today I’m sampling Still Life by Olfactive Studio. With dominant notes of yuzu, rum, pink pepper and galbanum. Well firstly I’d like to say that Olfactive Studio are quickly becoming one of my favourite houses. I’ve enjoyed both Panorama and Ombre Indigo, and now this makes it 3 hits in a row. Just as I expected, this fragrance is beautiful! The yuzu and rum are blended well, whilst still remaining fresh. The fresh boozy vibe reminds me a lot of Frapin L’Humaniste. The pepper and woods sit nicely in the base, whilst the galbanum gives a resinous quality in the mid. As far as niche fragrances goes, this one is easy to like and very safe. I will say however the projection isn’t as good as I hoped for, it became a skin scent after around an hour. However the longevity is much better, lasting 8 hours on my skin. I’m hoping to get my nose on the rest of the line, have any of you tried them?
