Bergamotto di Calabria by Acqua di Parma

Today I’m sampling Bergamotto di Calabria by Acqua di Parma. With dominant notes of bergamot, citron, ginger and vetiver. I’m a big fan of the house of Acqua di Parma and cologne style fragrances in general. So what do I get from this one? This is all about the lemon and bergamot, in that order. To my nose the lemon (citron) was the main player, with the bergamot sitting just below. Then a little of the ginger and cedar coming through in the mid, then finally musk cutting through in the base. A great fresh fragrance that’s only let down by the performance. It projects moderately for about 30 mins before settling down into a skin scent. Cologne style fragrances never have a great deal of longevity, and this is no different. After the 3 hour mark I had to really bury my nose into my arm to check if it was still going. On the right day (hot), in the right situation this could be a perfect fragrance, as long as you’re aware of the performance limitations. So what are you all wearing today?
