Today I’m sampling Arso by Profumum Roma. With notes of incense, leather, resin, cedar and pine. After the disappointment of my last two samples, I was hoping it was third time lucky….it was! This is a fascinating fragrance, that really does conjure up images as you wear it. So what does it smell of? Imagine a burning pine tree, got it? Then you now know exactly what this fragrance smells like! I found the opening extremely smokey, but within 30 mins it had settled down. It was still a very smokey fragrance, but it had settled just enough that a tiny bit of sweetness was coming through. I’ve seen reviews of this one that state there’s no sweetness at all, but I got a small amount from what I presume was the resins. A small amount goes a long way with this one, it’s truly a room filler and longevity seems fantastic. Personally I’m on the fence with this one as a fragrance, a fantastic scent but I’m not sure I want to smell like it. Perhaps It would work in the right setting for me, outdoors on a summers evening maybe? However I do know a guy who loves smokey scents…. Will….and I think he’ll love it!
